The purpose of this role:
We are seeking a proactive, skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability, performance, and safety of mechanical and electrical machines within a manufacturing environment by performing scheduled preventive maintenance and responding to unplanned maintenance needs.
The key accountabilities of the role:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues promptly.
- Respond to equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Liaise with service engineers (Fanuc / Doosan / Citizen / Mitsubishi) to troubleshoot machine problems and implement necessary measures to rectify.
- Propose and implement equipment upgrades or modifications for improved efficiency (lean projects).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Provide training to staff on proper equipment use and care.
The Ideal Candidate will have the following:
Qualifications:
- Education: Engineering degree or trade qualification (Mechanical/Electrician /Technician/Fitter)
- Experience: Proven experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Skills:
- Technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with maintenance management (preferred).
