Job Summary:
We are seeking a Graduate Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to begin their career in a dynamic manufacturing/operations environment, where you will play an active role in improving processes, efficiency, quality, and performance across the business.
You will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to identify improvement opportunities and support the delivery of Lean and CI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, safety, and delivery across the facility.
- Analyse production and business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Assist with data collection, time studies, and KPI tracking.
- Apply basic problem-solving and root cause analysis with guidance from senior engineers.
- Support Lean and CI activities such as 5S, process mapping and waste identification/reduction.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard work and visual management boards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support improvement projects.
- Present findings and progress updates to the Operations team.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Interest in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, etc.
- Ability to work with data (Excel & Minitab)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Ability to generate layouts using AutoCad.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Internship or project experience in manufacturing or operations
- Trained in Lean/Six Sigma to Green Belt level
